SINGAPORE – Two men, aged 23 and 25, have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft by night at a shop in Pasir Panjang wholesale centre, police said in a press statement on Wednesday (Jan 6).

Police added that the pair were arrested within 16 hours after the report was filed.

The owner of the shop made a police report on Tuesday (Jan 5) after discovering that that his shop had been broken into. The safe had been cut open and the cash inside, which amounted to $500,000, was stolen.
