Kuey teow seller and security guard posed as police in VIP convoy

KUALA LUMPUR – The red lights have came on for two bogus traffic police personnel who served as “outriders” to a VIP’s convoy.

The two men – a fried kuey teow seller and a security guard – have been remanded until Friday.

KL traffic police chief Asst Comm Mohd Nadzri Hussain said the police were still probing the extent of the duo’s operation in “escorting” the VIP’s convoy of luxury cars in the city.

“We suspect they have been impersonating policemen for quite some time. We need time to get to the bottom of the matter,” he said yesterday.
